Murf, The door and fender did arrive in record time. Surprise! Yes it was a pleasure doing business with you. The communications between us was great. You understood my needs and was willing to commit to every possible way to provide the parts that I needed. You conducted the transactions with a business sense but also in a friendly atmosphere. And you were always more than fair and honest in your representation of the parts available. Again I thank you and I will be glad to recommend you to my friends and all. Regards, Joe H. -Tacoma, Wa. Hi again Murf, I received 2 more packages today. The rest of the trim and the springs. All arrived O. K. Nice doing business with you. Hope to do more in the future. Jesse N. (Ca) SOLD 1966 CORVAIR- CHROME TRIM AND SUSPENSION PARTS |

Murf, you certainly can post pictures of the speedster. The speedster was built using a 1923 Model T frame, engine, transmission and rear end. The body is a M & M reproduction Fautless Raceabout. These type of racers were build in the 20's and 30's and were raced at county fairs, which took the place of racing horses. This one is fairly stock, high compression head, high lift cam and bored 40 over. I had it up to about 75 mph and got scared and backed off. The big problem is with the brakes. There is only a drum and band in the transmission which when applied will eventually stop only the rear wheels, so stopping needs much improvement. I purchased your Metropolitan brakes because with a little work they can be fitted to give braking to both the front and rear wheels . Hey Murf, I received the side seat pocket and back tail light bulb holder for the Volvo 740 about a week ago. Everything works great with bulb holder. I noticed that the side seat pocket part has a hair line crack in the same place where mine broke years back. Only if Volvo would have added more plastic in that area when molding it. Anyways..I'm very happy with the two pieces I bought from you. I look forward in doing business with you again very soon. Have a good one and enjoy your weekend. Cheers,Jeff in Quincy, FL |

Hi once again Murf, I just wanted to say thank you for a pleasant trading experience and to let you know that I am pleased with the truck hood you sold me. I re-visited your web site and DID see the truck you told me about. Man, you are blessed to be alive much less walking around. Good luck to you in your business and life. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to friends nor to trade with you again in the future should I need another part. Bruce in Somerset, KY |

Hi MURF, Sorry it has taken most of the week to write this. I just wanted to say thank you for all of your help on the power brake bracket. It arrived last Saturday and after a few minutes to give it a Sherwin-Williams rebuild it was ready to go. The bracket along with the new power brake booster and master cly. are now installed. I have not driven the car as while it is on the jack stands I decided to freshen up the underside. Hopefully by Monday I will be done. Again I want to thank you. Not many people are willing to mess with these small parts nor do they give the level of service that looks to be the norm at your business. I will keep you in mind for my future needs and hope that we can do business again soon. My next project will be to add power steering and soon A/C (under dash but with factory engine mounts). Have a safe and pleasant Memorial Day weekend. Wayne, Mechanicsville, VA |
Hi Murf Yes I got back with no problem. I stopped at a Best Western Sat night because they had parking for trucks with trailers. Nice motel. Yes my wife said you had already refunded the $25. It was good to know that there are still people out there that are as honest as you are, and I know I can trust you in any dealing we have together. Thanks again for all of your help I have cleaned the car up and taken the wheels off. got the old tires taken off and have cleaned and sanded the rims. Today I painted the rims to help make the tires hold air. I will put used tires on the car so I can move it around. I will sell the rims later on since they are 13" rims and I need a 14 " rim since the convertible has 14 inch rims. Do you have a 14" Corvair rim? Next i am going to take the idler arm off and weld a straight rod where the bent piece was so that I can move the car around easier. Right now it is still on my trailer as you can see. I got the rims cleaned up pretty good Thanks again Ken in Cary, NC glad to hear it Ken and thanks for responding. would you mind if i posted this comment on my website? i tell all my customers that "i don't want to sell them a part, i want to make a customer" and i believe i've made one in you. thanks again for your business, Murf Hi Murf Yes, you can post any of my comments to you on your website. It was good to know that in this day and age, that there are still some people out there who still value their word and a hand shake as something that you can take to the bank. If a man will not stand by his word, then he is nothing to me. You are not out to cheat any one. I certainly will keep you in mind as the first one to contact should I or one of my friends need something you have. Hope that we can meet again sometime. Did you get my picture I sent you? Please contact me if you get any thing pertaining to my Corvair. Thanks again and God bless you. Ken in Cary, NC |

Got the parts this afternoon. Couldn't be more pleased. I'd like to leave a killer comment for you on e-bay. The parts I needed were cut exactly as we discussed, shipped quickly, and fairly priced! You can quote me on that for sure. I just might pick that carcas apart if I come across something else! I will send some pictures as I progress a little. Didn't get to the floor pans today. Wife hit her garage door. I had to pull all my woodworking tools out and rebuild the whole lower section! Thanks once more! Ray, in Ark |
Murf, Thanks very much for the wheel openings, if you need a contact up here in Southern Ontario, l am your guy, need a reference, please use me, have somebody that wants to talk to someone that has dealt with you and quality of parts, flip my email, l am extremely satisfied with the 1961 fender openings that you cut and shipped to me. My next step will be to cut and fit into the quarters when we have a chance. Thanks again Sir, Fletch Hamilton Ontario, Canada |
Murf, Just wanted to thank you for some great parts. And taking the time to deal with me. Its getting hard to find honest people who do what they say anymore. I hope you get more parts in the near future. I know i can get a honest deal from you. Thanks again and keep me in mind if any more galaxies show up or something that i can use a part off of. I need the dash bezels in decent shape if you have any. Let me know. Thanks again. Mike R. California |
Hi Murf, I got the knob in the mail today, thank you very much. I gotta tell you i am really impressed by the way you responded to my request, for such a small item, it seems you went above and beyond to make sure you got the right part. You can bet next time I am looking for a part I will check with you first. Thanks again and have a great day. Clancy (59 Ford seat knob) |
this guy and his wife did a road trip to my place in TN from Los Angeles, CA to get his parts for his project (i dont ship windshields anymore)!! it's amazing what us car guys will do for the love of our automobiles!! Murf, Thanks so much for helping me begin my restoration project. The windshield and chrome trim took me years to locate, but, thanks to your website, I finally found them. And thanks so much for the hospitality, my wife and I enjoyed our trip and the tour of your yard. It will be a long process, but will send pics of the finished truck sometime in the future. Thanks again. Fernando from Los Angeles |
Murf here are some pictures of the front fender openings you cut and sent to Fletch up in Canada (Niagara Falls NY.) l used the front openings to flare the rear quarters for a larger opening rather than just cut a huge circle out the way they did years ago. Car has turned out good so far will send some pictures when it is painted one day. Lots of old bondo from over the years to fix. Thanks again, and l am more than Happy to recommend your help and parts if you ever have anyone up in Canada asking. Thanks again, Fletch Richard F.Hamilton, Ontario,Canada |
